We are a boutique law firm focusing on commercial law and dispute resolution.
Corporate and Commercial law: We assist our international clients in complex M&A transactions, project financing and guarantee a successful post-merger-integration with the target company.
Arbitration and Mediation: Our founding partner Dr. Alice Meissner has extensive experience representing clients in international arbitration proceedings. Jointly with our cooperation partner, Judge Avi Zamir (Ret.), a well-experienced arbitrator and mediator, we offer also the possibility to resolve commercial disputes by commercial mediation. Avi Zamir has an extensive record acting as a mediator in over hundred commercial disputes.
Court Litigation: Another focus of our firm lies on representing our clients in challenging court proceedings, including the set up of a cross-border litigation strategy, filing of preliminary injunctions and enforcement of titles. Our experiences cover inter alia immediate defense of third party insolvency applications, disputes involving liabilities of property developers and labor litigation.
When representing our clients’ interests, we look “beyond the legal horizon” and often work with selected business consultants to find tailor-made solutions. The founding partners have been assisting various multinational companies with their projects in different industrial areas for many years.
Our founding partners Dr. Alice Meissner and Bernhard Passin possess many years of experience in different business areas:
Dr. Alice Meissner has many years of experience in advising multinational Chinese groups with their direct investments (FDI) in Austria, including post-merger integration such as the establishment of a new group-wide corporate structure and the implementation of cross-border compliance management. She also represented parties in various international arbitration proceedings under ICC, VIAC and CIETAC arbitration rules.
Bernhard Passin is a passionate litigation specialist. He has acted as lead counsel in several proceedings before the ECJ and the Austrian Supreme Court. His motto: “In the courtroom at the latest, the wheat is separated from the chaff and a client is usually very grateful to be guided through stormy civil proceedings by an experienced litigator”.
