    DDr. phil. Adolf Peter is an independent arbitrator and Associate Professor at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL).       Professional experience

      DDr. Peter gained extensive experience both in common (in particular English, US and Singapore law) and civil law (in particular Austrian, German, Chinese and European law). He has worked as a lawyer for several international law firms in the areas of international arbitration and economic/corporate law. Having been Registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore, Dr. Peter represented international clients as lead counsel in several arbitral proceedings administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Center (SIAC).

      Education

      DDr. Peter holds two PhD and master degrees in Law and Religious Science, an LL.M. degree in South East European Law and European Integration (Karl-Franzens University of Graz, Austria) and a master degree in Applied (Business) Ethics. Furthermore, he is Independent Arbitrator, Certified Supervisory Expert and was admitted to the Austrian Bar in 2017.

      DDr. Peter is the of author of many publications (e.g. extensive articles published in the German Arbitration Journal, SchiedsVZ and the Asian International Arbitration Journal). In February 2021, Springer Singapore published his book “CSR and Codes of Business Ethics in the USA, Austria (EU) and China and their Enforcement in International Supply Chain Arbitrations.”
